Table On The Farm Rehearsal Dinner
Brides often overlook rehearsal dinners in the planning process, but they can be a really fun, more casual way to bring personality into your wedding weekend (or wedding mid-week - I got married on a Tuesday). Although I love formal, elegant dinner parties, casual ones have a special “something”. This rehearsal dinner took place in one of my favorite Durango hot-spots, James Ranch. You’ll just have to go there to experience it in all it's magic.
WHO: Jessica & Michael
WHAT: Table On The Farm Rehearsal Dinner
WHEN: September 6, 2019
WHERE: James Ranch Harvest Grill, Durango, CO
VIBES: Casual, Fresh, Farm-Chic
These are a few of my favorite things:
The Food. Oh My Gosh, The Food.
Okay. A little disclaimer here. James Ranch catered my own wedding so I’m obviously a little biased, but I swear their new patio/lawn makes the burgers taste even better. Cynthia and her team curated an incredible spread of meats, cheeses, veggies and fruit - many locally grown and raised. Farm to Table doesn’t get any fresher. You just can’t get any better than that!
Checkered Table Cloths
I love these checkered table cloths. In fact, they may be my favorite item in my rental inventory because I love all the laughs and stories told across them. They’ve versatile and are perfect to make a casual rehearsal feel just a tad more styled and dressed up.
Define An Area With String Lights
Sometimes it’s hard to keep the party focused and defined in a way that doesn’t make people feel cramped and corralled. String lights with shepherds hooks are one of my favorite ways to define an area - especially if a private event is taking place in a public location. This set up also makes for a great walkway liner or parking area. Yes, we rent these! :)
Kids Welcome
Rehearsal dinners are often stressful, filled with last minute jitters and awkward family encounters as both families meet for the first time. This rehearsal was fun, casual and memorable with kids running between the tables and friends laughing over a good local beer. Now that’s a party I can get behind.
